Job description

Summary:
DAY 1 BENEFITS: A Freight Forwarding Company in Riviera Beach is looking to hire a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. This position is responsible for repairing mobile harbor cranes, straddle carriers, reach stackers, rotators and spreaders. Operates, inspects and troubleshoots mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical failures on equipment as required and diagnose defects. Rebuilds engines, transmissions and their components as necessary. Benefits include free health insurance, annual raises, paid vacation and holidays, etc.
Responsibilities:
* Perform electrical & hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs on Gottwald Cranes, Liebherr Cranes, Kalmar Straddle Carriers, Reach Stackers, etc
* Work on equipment both outdoors & inside the shop
* Perform PMs when necessary
* Utilize lifts to make repairs at heights upwards of 100ft
Requirements:
* Must have engine repair experience in addition to PM experience
* Cannot have a fear of heights
* Must be open to working a rotating day/night shift approximately every 6 months ($7/hr differential included)
* Must have accredited High School Diploma or GED
* Valid DL
* Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card
