ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Operate industrial straddle truck to lift, transport and position material following established methods and procedures, assist in departmental operations as directed
  • Maintain staging and storage areas in a neat and orderly condition and store materials according to alloy and size keeping alloys and sizes together.
  • Work from instructions to lift, transport, and position a variety of material into and out of inventory for departments requesting; pickup, transport, and position a variety of materials from department to department
  • Maintain all required material identification procedures
  • Exercise care in handling and stacking to avoid injuries to others, damage to equipment or materials, and to maintain required segregation of alloys and orders.
  • Detect faulty operations of equipment, defective materials refer questionable cases to the supervisor. Maintain the work area, tools and equipment in the proper manner. Make operator maintenance checks on equipment daily and maintain all logs related to these checks. Follow standard quality, quantity requirements and safety regulations. Follow prescribed safety regulations.

NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Perform other duties as required or directed


REQUIREMENTS:

  • General high school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to maintain IME certification by fulfilling all requirements.
  • Must be able to read, write, comply with instructions and establish routines
  • Over 3 up to 6 months experience
