Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Correction, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking an energetic, motivated individual to join our team as a Storekeeper who supervises, serves as a lead worker of the warehouse facility .
This position also performs various tasks such as ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying and distributing a wide variety of materials, supplies and equipment at the Arizona State Prison Complex - Phoenix.

Job Duties:

-Monitors and maintains stock levels
-Verifies items received to be issued against appropriate shipping and receiving documents and correctly prepare distribution documents
-Updates the automated inventory control system
-Recommends quantity of items to be ordered to maintain sufficient re-stocking levels
-Trains, supervises, assigns, evaluates and monitors work of lower level or less experienced staff to include inmates
-Stocks shelves, rotates items and stages items for deliveries
-Prepares reports regarding supply and material usage and projected needs
-Prepares documents for purchasing, ordering and/or issuing materials, supplies and/or equipment
-Drives on State business
-Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
-Storekeeping/warehousing practices and procedures, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control
-Special storage requirements for certain hazardous materials and supplies
-Basic recordkeeping and report preparation relating to warehouse activities
-State procurement procedures
-Warehouse safety practices and procedures
-Personal computer and software applications
Skill in:
-Operating specialized warehousing equipment
-Written and verbal communication
-Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships
Ability to:
-Comply with the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR), Department Order related to hazardous material storage and distribution
-Adhere to ADCRR safety regulations and mandates related to warehouse sanitation, security and operation for material handling equipment
-Check incoming/outgoing items against appropriate shipping/receiving documents
-Maintain inventory control records
-Follow verbal and written instructions
-Apply sound critical judgment
-Read and interpret a varied range of reference materials
-Work independently and quickly adapt to changing priorities
-Work in a prison environment

Selective Preference(s):

-Three (3) years of experience receiving, storing, inventorying, and distributing a variety of supplies, materials, and equipment
-One (1) year of experience working as a Supplies Clerk, Warehouse Worker, or equivalent in the private sector

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and a drug test.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
