Job description

Position Title: Commercial Construction Project Manager
This role is essential for managing Walmart store remodel and addition projects within occupied facilities. The Project Manager will oversee 2 to 3 concurrent projects, navigating various phases such as pre-construction, construction, and closeout. This position requires collaboration with multiple superintendents and project coordinators, ensuring that all aspects of the projects are executed efficiently. The role involves significant mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scope, as well as occasional building additions. Candidates must be prepared for regional travel and possess the ability to manage complex projects while adhering to strict compliance standards.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 / Year DOE
Responsibilities:
  • Manage 2 to 3 concurrent Walmart remodel and addition projects across different phases
  • Coordinate with multiple superintendents and interface with construction managers
  • Conduct site travel every two weeks for walk-throughs and evening calls as needed
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, change orders, and financial closeout
  • Collaborate with estimating teams and manage subcontractors
  • Utilize proprietary systems and maintain internal documentation

Requirements:
  • Commercial construction project management experience; Walmart remodels strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Willingness to travel regionally for day trips and occasional overnights
  • Comfort with client proprietary systems and Microsoft Office
  • Direct Walmart or large retail remodel experience is preferred
  • Exposure to refrigeration and MEP-heavy scopes; familiarity with additions and ground-up projects is preferred
  • Estimating coordination experience is preferred
