Location: Fishers AgriPark - 11171 Florida Rd, Fortville, IN 46040
Employment type: Full time Benefited
Schedule: 35 hours minimum per week. Flexible schedule required, including weekends, holidays, and special events
Compensation Range: $50,591 - $61,041

Description

The City of Fishers is seeking a full-time AgriPark Country Store Coordinator to oversee the planning, launch, and daily operation of the AgriPark Country located at the Fishers AgriPark. This position is responsible for managing a consignment-based retail store and small coffee service that features locally produced agricultural goods and value-added products. The Fishers AgriPark Country store supports the mission of the Fishers AgriPark by providing a community-oriented retail space that promotes local farmers, producers, and educational programming while enhancing the visitor experience.

The current AgriPark hours are Wednesday - Friday 10am - 6pm and Saturday - Sunday 12pm - 4pm. AgriPark Country Store hours are anticipated to match the AgriPark hours that are open to the public but could change based on business needs.

Examples of Duties

  • Manage daily operations of the AgriPark Country Store and associated coffee service
  • Develop, implement, and oversee a consignment- based retail model, including vendor coordination and agreements
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, product pricing, and quality control standards
  • Process vendor payments and ensure proper financial documentation
  • Operate and manage point-of-sale (POS) systems and consignment software
  • Prepare and manage staff schedules and employee hours in accordance with operational budgets
  • Provide high-quality customer service and maintain a professional, welcoming environment
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety regulations, permits, codes, and municipal policies
  • Order supplies, manage store expenses, and assist with budget tracking
  • Maintain cleanliness of store, safety, and organization of the store and coffee service areas
  • Assist with AgriPark special events, programming, and peak operational periods, and other Parks duties as assigned
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting, stocking, and moving merchandise
  • Provide other support for AgriPark and other Parks events

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Required;
  • Experience in retail operations or retail management required with a preference of 2-3 years experience;
  • Indiana Driver’s License and ability to be insured to drive a city vehicle required;
  • Ability to manage inventory, finances, and operational workflows;
  • Proficiency with POS systems and retail software applications;
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills;
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and special events required;
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 50+ pounds, standing for extended periods, and moving supplies and products required;
  • Experience in agricultural retail, food service, or farm-to-market environments highly preferred;
  • Experience working with consignment-based sales models highly preferred;
  • Familiarity with budgeting, scheduling, and staff supervision preferred;
  • Ability to work in a retail and food service environment required;
  • Ability to work in varied temperatures required;
  • Must be able to effectively interact with the public;
  • Must be able to work during events and peak seasonal hours.
