Store Assistant Manager Roles Overview:
The Midas Store Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager with day-to-day business operations and performance (safety, efficiencies, and profit/loss accountability), cost control, inventory management, environmental compliance, and most importantly, safety. He or she promotes customer satisfaction retention and growth of existing and new businesses and will report to the Store Manager.
Responsibilities

As a Midas Store Assistant Manager, you will support the Store Manager to direct all automotive and general service technicians in the operation of the shop, including:
  • Assume responsibilities of Store Manager while he or she is on leave or earned time off or absent with reasons
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while listening and consulting with customers
  • Following up with customers, services requested, estimated completion times, etc.
  • Oversee complete vehicle inspections and then make comprehensive recommendationsbuilding computerized repair orders and competitively sourcing parts
  • Deliver and discuss pricing estimates with customers as well as promote shop service specials. Ensures Midas promotional offers are dealt with customers intelligently
  • After completion of each job, must inspect all the works. At the time of invoicing and payment, must print out Factory Scheduled Maintenance (FSM) recommendations to the customers
  • Oversee technicians inspections, diagnosing, and repairing of all vehicles
  • Maintain inventory counts and competitively manage procurement among suppliers
  • Responsible and accountable for any inventory losses, warranty losses, property damage, and theft.
  • Overall cleanliness and organization of the facility, including environmental and OH&S compliance
  • Employees payroll; record-keeping of hours and schedule. Ensuring the store is open as per the broadcasted hours
  • Updating and submitting daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly sales reports to Owner(s) and Midas Corporate while the Store Manager is absent
  • Tires and parts pick up when customer requirement is urgent
  • 50-70% time in the shop to demonstrate the technical abilities to meet customer and workflow
Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of automotive store or service manager experience
  • Thorough automotive knowledge; Licensed (Red Seal )
  • Excellent customer service disposition
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong POS (Autoleap) computer and Internet skills
  • Leadership ability
  • Team-building skills
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekend evenings
  • Valid drivers license
