Job description

Storage Engineer  
Salary Range: $100,000 to $115,400 per year
Ops Tech Alliance (OTA) is seeking a Storage Engineer to support DLIFLC at the Presidio of Monterey, CA. The Storage Engineer is part of the data center support group, designing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's data storage systems and ensuring health and availability of IT systems and infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud.
This position is contingent upon contract award.  
Responsibilities
• Configure SAN/NAS systems and manage backup solutions.
• Plan, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and manage storage servers and applications.
• Monitor and provide daily support to ensure health and availability of IT systems.
• Maintain a high-availability data center environment.
Required Qualifications
• BA/BS with 5+ years as a storage engineer, OR AA/AS with 7+ years, OR 9+ years in lieu of degree.
• Active IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) plus applicable CE/OS certification.
• Hands-on experience with SAN technologies in a highly virtualized and converged environment.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, Linux Red Hat, Windows Server, SQL, MySQL, EMC SAN technologies, and Active Directory.
• U.S. Citizenship.
Desired Qualifications
• EMC, NetApp, or Pure Storage certification.
• VMware VCP-DCV.
• Experience with cloud-based storage (Azure Blob, AWS S3/EBS).
• Prior DoD or Army data center experience.
