Overview

How you can make a difference  

In this role, you'll build strong, trusted relationships with the brokers in your territory and serve as their goto partner for HealthEquity. Your success will come from connecting regularly with brokerage partners, understanding what they need, and helping them see how HealthEquity can support their clients. You'll bring insights, data, and clear communication that make brokers confident in choosing us and continuing to work with us. By staying engaged, being responsive, and offering thoughtful guidance, you'll help deepen loyalty, open new opportunities, and strengthen HealthEquity's presence across your territory.

Location: Remote (must be based in Texas) | Travel up to 50% Compensation Range: Competitive base + sales incentive + equity eligibility

What you'll be doing 

  • Building highly trusted relationships with regional leaders of designated high-performance brokerage and consultancy firms
  • Leveraging sales savvy and a flair for thought leadership to help high-priority brokerage houses (from the Practice Leader to the individual senior-level producer) build a definitive preference for partnership with HealthEquity 
  • Partnering with HealthEquity's Field Sales teams to optimize our win rate with top-priority brokers and consultants
  • Spearheading HealthEquity's efforts to renew its book of business with high-performance consultancy partners
  • Collaborating constructively and proactively with HealthEquity's Operations teams to respond to brokerage/ consultancy service escalations
  • Developing and implementing a data driven strategy that maximizes brokerage-driven opportunities that enable HealthEquity to achieve short and multi-year sales targets

What you will need to be successful

  • Previous experience as a benefits broker or consultant with a Top 15 firm preferred 
  • Minimum 5 years sales and Broker Development experience 
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50% for broker visits
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Marketing, Business Management) or equivalent experience, MBA is a plus
  • Ability to articulate a consistent organizational sales message to consultants/brokers
  • Ability to communicate in person, telephonically, written, and over WebEx 
  • Authenticity and trustworthiness that enables you to establish and grow meaningful relationships within a short period of time
  • Drive to succeed balanced by unshakable desire to do the right thing by HealthEquity's clients and partners every time 
  • Evidence of exceeding aggressive sales goals 
  • Excellent financial acumen, with an understanding of marketplace economics and awareness of margin contribution when selling 
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, comfortable and poised in any setting from small face-to-face meetings to large conference-like presentations. Written skills are just as critical as verbal and/or presentation skills 
  • Ferocious drive to learn and improve your sales and relationship management skillset Fundamental knowledge of sales, market trends and the consumer-directed benefits competitive landscape, with an ability to assess and consider these factors when developing sales strategies 
  • Highly creative and persuasive in communicating how solutions meet the needs of each unique prospective client
  • Proven ability to and strong skills to develop, deploy, and manage a strategic, evidence-based, data driven, and methodical plan to achieve short-term sales target while establishing and managing longer-term pipeline  
  • Strong analytic and evidence-based data orientation 
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills 
  • This is a remote position, and the incumbent will work from home
  • Voracious curiosity about employee benefits trends, HealthEquity's business and the overall employee benefits challenges faced by plan sponsors and their benefit advisors  
Salary Range$105,000.00 To $123,000.00 / yearBenefits & Perks

The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. This position is also eligible for additional sales incentive commissions, and details regarding these additional sales incentive commissions will be provided after hire. This position will further be eligible for restricted stock units as part of the total compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits including:

Onboarding & Travel

This is a remote role, with an in-person onboarding training component. New team members must participate in Trailhead, HealthEquity's immersive onboarding experience Trailhead is designed to foster meaningful connections, support your integration into the organization, and equip you with a strong understanding of our business. Trailhead participation is a key expectation of this role. Trailhead is held onsite at our headquarters once per quarter. HealthEquity covers all required travel and accommodations. 

This role may begin with a virtual, self-paced onboarding experience, followed by a mandatory onsite Trailhead session at a later date.
