About our property:

Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174'. This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. What you will have an opportunity to do:

Seasonal Position (May 2026 - Mid-January 2027)

The Stewardpositionsupports the restaurant and banquet team by ensuring pots, pans, dishware,drinkware,and utensils are clean, dry, and organized and stored appropriately and according to sanitization requirements.This position is also responsible for supporting the EDR linecookto ensure dishware, drinkware, and utensils are properly supplied, and dirty items are removed for sanitizing. The Steward is also responsible for the cleanliness,maintenance of equipment,and sanitary processof the dish-pit.

What are we looking for?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Washes all pots, pans, dishware, drinkware, silverware, trays, and all other kitchen and banquet related items and appliances.
  • Assures that boxes and trash are removed at the appropriate times from the kitchen and placed in the proper location for removal from property.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including storage areas and equipment.
  • Monitor needs and cleanliness in the Employee Dining Room (EDR). Replenishes dishware, drinkware, and utensils are required.
  • Ensures glassware, dishware, silverware, pots, pans, etc. meet cleanliness and sanitizing standards.
  • Organizes and store all items in their appropriate location.
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain dish machines. Report malfunctions to manager.
  • Load and unload dishes and utensils to/from dish machine and organize them properly within the dish pit.
  • Monitor cleaning and sanitizing standards per Health Department.
  • Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed.
  • Ensure all prep stations and equipment are cleaned and sanitized.
  • Ensure that all handwashing stations within the kitchen are always stocked with soap and hand towels.
  • Ensure that the trash compactor and disposal areas are always clean and free of collateral.
  • Ensure that compactor area is pressure washed at least once monthly when the compactor is picked up or as instructed.
  • Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with inventory management and organizing of supplies as needed.
  • General side work, including but not limited to cleaning kitchen equipment and cook hoods.
  • Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager on duty.
  • Help in other areas of the restaurant, including attending EDR.
