Sterile Filling Technician
Department: Compounding
Location: Centennial, CO, 80112
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $25-$28 DOE
VPI Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a focused, dependable, and detail-oriented individual to join our cleanroom production team as a Sterile Filterer. In this role, you will be responsible for filtering prepared sterile solutions into vials or bags with precision, ensuring accuracy, sterility, and compliance with established procedures at every step.
This position is well suited for someone who is comfortable with repetitive processes, working independently, and consistently following detailed procedures in a regulated environment.
No prior pharmacy experience? No problem. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training and will reimburse the cost of your Provisional Pharmacy Technician License!
Key Responsibilities
Sterile Filtering Operations
  • Filter prepared sterile solutions into vials or bags with precision and consistency.
  • Ensure proper handling of materials and equipment to maintain sterile processing standards.
  • Follow established cleanroom procedures and compounding protocols.

Equipment Operation
  • Operate and maintain sterile filtering pumps, filters, and related equipment.
  • Utilize the Electric Lab (eLab) system to scan, track, and document materials used during production.

Documentation
  • Accurately record equipment details, filter lot numbers, vial lots, and expiration dates.
  • Submit completed documentation for review following internal quality procedures.

Inspection and Quality Control
  • Conduct visual inspections of filtered products to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Assist with surface sampling and other quality control procedures as needed.

Material Coordination
  • Work closely with the Cleanroom Apprentice and other production team members to ensure materials are available and transferred efficiently.

Cleaning and Maintenance
  • Perform routine cleaning of equipment, syringes, vials, and workstations according to established cleaning protocols.

Team Collaboration
  • Coordinate with the production team to maintain workflow efficiency and meet production targets.

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent quality
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with a high level of precision
  • Ability to strictly follow written procedures and cleanroom protocols
  • Must be willing to obtain a Provisional Pharmacy Technician License upon hire if you do not currently hold an active Provisional or Pharmacy Technician License

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous sterile compounding or cleanroom experience
  • Experience operating sterile filtering equipment or pumps
  • Familiarity with eLab or similar electronic documentation systems
