Job description

Here's what you'll be doing:
  • Demonstrates a strong Recovery for the community and sharing suggestions of positive steps toward sustainable Recovery
  • Works with counselors as a member of the client's care team in meeting the goals in their treatment plan
  • Provides transportation as it pertains to helping clients further establish personal Recovery
  • Assists recovering person(s) in identifying their own personal interests and goals in relationship to Recovery and health
  • Supports connections to community based, mutual self-help groups. Attend meetings as appropriate with client(s)
  • Encourages client to follow recommendations of client's counselor
  • Visits community resources as it pertains to connecting client's with services/resources
  • Coaches recovering clients in the independent use of community supports
  • Participates in rotation of community hotline/weekend on call.
  • Facilitates client entry and successful exit from appropriate levels of care
  • Helps families with intervention facilitation and follow up strategies
  • Develops, implements, and promotes groups within the community

What you'll need to be successful:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license and able to obtain FCP insurance coverage
  • CPR certification
  • A working knowledge of the drug and alcohol treatment system
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Recovery community
  • Good understanding and respect for each individual's Recovery
  • Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens
  • FCP complies with all CDC vaccine and testing recommendations for healthcare professionals. Proof of immunizations is required and immunizations/testing provided upon hire.
  • Employees working in alcohol abuse or drug treatment fields are required to be free from alcohol abuse and illegal drug use for at least two years prior to placement, and while working in the position.
