• Conduct preliminary client interviews, gathering detailed information from the initial consultation through to the completion of treatment.
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, employing standardized assessment tools and clinical judgment.
• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans for various client scenarios, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate structured individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing, personal development, and coping strategies.
• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to address emerging challenges and successes.
• Collaborate with fellow mental health professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Coordinate with attending physicians and psychiatrists for clients needing hospitalization, ensuring seamless transitions in care.
• Identify potential barriers to recovery, proactively taking steps to mitigate these risks, and involve family members or caregivers as appropriate.

The Counselor will primarily work with diverse populations, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Our clients may range from children to adults, and often include those facing significant life transitions or challenges such as addiction disorders. You will play a vital role in empowering clients to overcome these barriers and achieve a fulfilling life.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating competence in various therapeutic techniques and client management.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to enhance client documentation and communication.
• In-depth knowledge of pharmacological treatments and their implications for mental health, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of clients' health considerations.

• Experience in addressing underlying physical and emotional health conditions, including integration of treatment for addiction disorders.
• Understanding of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, fostering trust and understanding with clients and colleagues.
• Strong interpersonal skills, marked by an empathetic and supportive approach to counseling.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, with the potential for a sign-on bonus.
