  • Regularly monitor clients' progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes and support recovery.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other mental health professionals to develop integrated care plans and coordinate referrals.
  • Follow up diligently with clients post-treatment and in response to hospital admissions, liaising with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide education and support to families and caregivers, enabling them to better understand and manage mental health challenges.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on diverse clients navigating various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. You will encounter clients from different backgrounds and demographics, enriching your experience and enhancing cultural competency within the practice. Your role is pivotal in providing compassionate care that empowers clients to achieve greater mental well-being and resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia.
  • Successful completion and passing of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, with an emphasis on experience using AVATAR or similar platforms.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a solid understanding of therapeutic techniques and interventions.
  • Familiarity with prevalent trends in psychotherapy and best practices, as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Deep understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional health issues, including addiction disorders and their treatment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels; empathy, compassion, and active listening are essential.
