Salary Range: $46.00 - $76.00
Job Summary
Responsible to manage the comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic patient care under the direction of a physician's prescription. This includes patient assessment, formulation and implementation of a treatment plan, as well as follow-up and practice management. The orthosis/prosthesis is designed to restore physiological function and/or cosmesis. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Qualifications
Must have completed the schooling necessary to become certified as a Certified Orthotic/Prosthetic Practitioner.
Must have ten years of combined experience, education and training in orthotics and prosthetics or under the supervision of a privileged orthotist and prosthetist a minimum of four years experience in each discipline.
Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics through the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC)
is required. Must possess a valid class D driver's license. Must maintain a good driving record.
