Lead the Ft Wayne team in keeping our trucks and trailers maintained and in DOT-safe operating condition. Train technicians in general maintenance and repairs. Work as a team member with everyone in our Omni family.


  • Complete monthly DOT inspections on all equipment.
  • Rebuild Cummins engines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Aftertreatment systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair the electrical system on class 8 equipment.
  • General repairs on all parts of Class 8 trucks and trailers.
  • Must troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.
  • Maintain complete and accurate maintenance documentation.
  • Lead and train techs on the floor.
  • Build a daily schedule for work on the floor.
  • Take phone calls from drivers during work hours only.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Follow good housekeeping standards.
  • Welding and fabrication as needed.
  • Make recommendations for process system improvements.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety and OSHA guidelines.
  • Retrieve parts for the techs.
  • Participate in team meetings as needed.
  • All other duties assigned.

  • Must be in a lead tech role or similar leadership role for 5 plus years.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with general knowledge of DOT truck maintenance requirements.
  • A clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more consistently.
  • Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong welding and fabrication skills.
  • Must be highly self-motivated.
  • Team player dedicated to the organization.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Class A CDL license a plus.
