While working safely at all times, the carmelizer operator is responsible for the overall performance of the carmelizer. He/she will see that all quality, process, cost standards are met, procedures are followed, records and information maintained. He/she will patrol their machine looking for defects or machine conditions that could affect the quality of fabric. He/she will monitor lost on ignition's (LOI's and maintain specification that will ensure clean fabric. Place racks in oven and record rack number on load plan. He/she will use extreme care to ensure that racks and mandrel locations are correct. He/she will input style and width information into the computer. He/she will also check dials and gauges to ensure correct settings alerting management or QA with decision making on the fabric. He/she will work with the assistant carmelizer operator and QA technician to ensure quality and efficiency. Maintain all records according to ISO standards. Other duties as assigned

Basic computer skills: AS400 and Excel
