Job description

General Manager

New High-End Steakhouse | Hollywood Beach / Hallandale, FL

Retained by Gecko Hospitality

A new waterfront steakhouse concept opening this fall in the Hollywood Beach / Hallandale area is looking for an experienced general manager to lead the operation from pre-opening through day-to-day service. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build the systems, the team, and the culture from scratch.

The Concept

A chef-driven, high-end steakhouse blending Israeli appetizers with a classic American steakhouse menu. Waterfront setting with 100 seats inside and 120 on an outdoor patio. Independently operated, with ownership bringing significant experience in large-scale hospitality events but no prior restaurant-opening background, which is exactly why this hire matters.

What This Role Requires

  • 3 to 4+ years as a GM in a high-volume, high-end or fine dining environment
  • Direct experience opening a restaurant, not just running one that's already established
  • Ability to build SOPs, systems, and structure from the ground up
  • Comfort managing service for up to 400 covers a night
  • A strong, decisive operator. Ownership will handle the relationship and culture side; this GM needs to run the floor and the numbers with authority
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, not a requirement

What's Offered

  • $120,000 to $140,000, with flexibility for the right candidate
  • A rare chance to open a concept and shape it from day one
  • Ownership that is engaged, resourced, and ready to move quickly

How to Apply

This search is confidential and being run exclusively through Gecko Hospitality. Ownership and property details will be shared directly with qualified candidates after an initial conversation.
