PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Senior Manager, Media Operations is an exciting opportunity to successfully manage an expanding digital media operations platform, systems and projects, while maintaining a highly successful traditional static media program. The scope of responsibility covers over 215 locations, 75 DMAs, 3600+ digital screens and 9000+ static displays. The successful candidate will be a "hands-on" team member with the ability to drive operational excellence, build upon innovative opportunities and drive revenue-based results.

Media Operations Department. Media Operations covers four digital networks and the static media network. The four digital networks include; 1) Large Format Digital Boards, 2) Digital Ad Panels, 3) The Food Hall Network and 4) The Simon TV Network.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Capital Project Management

  • Lead all aspects of Capital digital projects from start to completion.
    • RFP solicitation
    • Price comparisons
    • Specification collection and analysis
    • Facilitation of contracts with Simon Legal
  • Financial budgeting and management of the projects, and working with SME accounting to reconcile spends and payments.
  • Field facilitation of surveys, requirements and expectations.
  • Develop project plans to manage prework, installations, punch list and closeout documents.
  • Build out maintenance plans to sustain new assets as needs for support.

2. Digital Asset Management

  • Identify needs and requirements to successfully document Assets.
    • Purchase information
    • Primary asset identification
    • Associated warranties
    • Historical repair work and expenses
    • Annual revenues
    • Other primary documents, information or stats
  • Implement and maintain a repository of "Source of Truth" documents that support.
    • Warranties
    • Installations
    • Digital inventory lists
    • Asset management documents

3. Digital Vendor Management

  • Own the relationship with Simon vendors.
  • Set deadlines for vendor deliverables.
  • Understand the business needs and match vendor requirements.
  • Integrate new vendors into the Simon systems.
    • Registration packets
    • Payment systems
    • Ticketing
  • Identify and explore potential new vendors to enhance the Simon network.
  • Manage both the daily expense outlays and project budgets.
  • Reconcile and administer weekly report summaries.

SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES

Priorities may include the following key categories, but not limited to, and the mix will fluctuate based on the daily moving needs of the business.

Digital Media Scheduling

  • Quantify the weekly scheduling requirements.
  • Assist in determining secondary scheduling requirements if needed.
  • Backup scheduling if needed.

Static Media Systems & Scheduling

  • An understanding of the Static Media workflow process with incoming Deal Sheets.
  • Backup Deal Sheet facilitation if needed.

Technical Support

  • Learn key Media systems to be able to jump in and assist when needed.

    • Programmatic Exchanges (5)
    • Acquire
    • Salesforce
  • Asset registrations.
  • CPM updates and uploads.
  • Asset ID information changes in various systems.
  • Facilitation of repair and maintenance on assets.

SIMON MEDIA OPERATIONS SKILL SETS

  • Develop strategic plans for operational excellence and continual improvements.
  • Develop and analyze complex business models in excel utilizing multiple data sources to maximize profitability.
  • Develop strategy and field direction for media objectives.
  • Work cross functionally across the organization to find solutions which meet multiple departmental objectives.
  • Develop credibility to be seen as a subject matter expert and partner.
  • Partner with the location management and marketing teams to optimize performance.
  • Achieve and/or exceed budgeted financial plans.
  • Ability to multi-task with conflicting deadlines and deliverables.
  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and adjust daily/weekly/monthly based on new data and information.
  • Plan new center media asset needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or other related fields.
  • 5-7 years relevant experience, preferably in administration, project management, marketing and/or financial analysis.
  • Advanced excel skills preferred.
  • Ability to build business models.
  • Results-oriented, proactive, ability to prioritize, project management skills.
  • Excellent communication & coordination skills that includes managing across a wide organization, multiple departments, and geographies.
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills and metrics oriented.
  • Superior computer skills combined with the ability to effectively communicate verbally, visually, and in writing are essential to success.
  • Extremely self-motivated and independent person who can handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Periodic overnight travel may be required for meetings and/or events.
