Job Overview

ZenaTech is hiring a Social Media Producer dedicated exclusively to ZenaStudios, our story-first entertainment studio brand.

ZenaStudios develops and releases original entertainment across films, episodic projects, vertical series, and emerging digital formats. We are looking for a producer who understands how to find the social story inside a larger production and turn it into platform-specific content that captures attention without losing the heart of the original work.

This is not a corporate social media position. The Social Media Producer will manage content production and publishing for ZenaStudios releases only. The role will not be responsible for ZenaTech corporate communications, investor content, technology marketing, or the social channels of other ZenaTech business units.

The Social Media Producer will work at the intersection of entertainment production, editorial storytelling, post-production, and social publishing.

The Marketing Strategy Lead will establish the overall marketing strategy, campaign objectives, social media calendar, campaign beats, asset list, channel roles, organic and paid designations, and approval requirements.

The Social Media Producer will own the execution of that strategy. This includes receiving production materials from the Vancouver team, reviewing scripts and shot lists, working through raw footage and completed episodes, identifying compelling moments, producing video and static assets, managing revisions and approvals, and scheduling and publishing approved content.

The ideal candidate enjoys working behind the scenes, has strong editorial instincts, and can independently turn hours of production footage into concise, compelling social content. This person must understand pacing, character, performance, suspense, and audience curiosity, while respecting spoilers, confidentiality, talent considerations, and release restrictions.

Key Responsibilities

The Social Media Producer may support projects such as:

• Future ZenaStudios films, episodic releases, vertical series, and original digital entertainment.
• Trailers, teasers, episode cutdowns, character introductions, release announcements, countdowns, quote cards, carousels, thumbnails, and promotional graphics.
• Cast, creator, and behind-the-scenes content.
• Production diaries, set footage, interviews, and story-driven promotional features.
• Organic and paid versions of release content based on the approved campaign strategy.

These examples illustrate the type of work the position may support. Specific formats and campaign concepts will be assigned through approved marketing briefs and production materials.

• Serve as the day-to-day social content producer for ZenaStudios releases.
• Work directly with the Marketing Strategy Lead to execute approved campaign strategies, calendars, asset lists, content briefs, and release beats.
• Coordinate with the Vancouver production team to receive scripts, shot lists, raw footage, edited sequences, production stills, graphics, behind-the-scenes material, and other source assets.
• Review scripts, episodes, shot lists, transcripts, and production footage to identify strong promotional moments, performances, visual hooks, and story questions.
• Log and organize footage so that potential clips and campaign moments can be found quickly throughout the release cycle.
• Independently edit high-quality trailers, teasers, vertical videos, social cutdowns, cast clips, behind-the-scenes features, and paid promotional assets.
• Create or adapt static graphics, quote cards, carousels, thumbnails, title cards, end cards, and release announcements using approved ZenaStudios templates and brand standards.
• Produce platform-specific versions in the appropriate dimensions, durations, aspect ratios, safe zones, and file formats.
• Add approved captions, subtitles, on-screen text, music, graphics, calls to action, links, and platform metadata.
• Adapt approved campaign copy into platform-ready captions, titles, descriptions, hashtags, and supporting text.
• Manage review rounds, feedback, revisions, approvals, final exports, and delivery deadlines.
• Maintain organized project files, source files, final exports, naming conventions, approval records, and asset links.
• Schedule and publish approved organic content across ZenaStudios channels, including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other approved platforms.
• Traffic and schedule approved paid social content according to the strategy, campaign setup, targeting direction, timing, and budget established by the Marketing Strategy Lead.
• Verify that the correct creative, copy, links, tracking information, and campaign settings are attached before publication.
• Monitor scheduled and published content for formatting, playback, captioning, link, or delivery issues.
• Protect confidential production materials and follow all spoiler, embargo, talent, music, rights, licensing, and approval restrictions.
• Track content performance and prepare concise reports identifying strong assets, audience responses, platform patterns, and opportunities for future content.
• Share performance insights and creative observations with the Marketing Strategy Lead and production team. Final campaign strategy and budget decisions remain with the Marketing Strategy Lead.
• Monitor platform trends and recommend timely opportunities that fit the voice, audience, and story of each release.
• Support release-day, premiere, event, and time-sensitive publishing when required.

Required Qualifications

• 3 or more years of professional experience producing content for branded social media accounts.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong short-form video editing, social storytelling, static design, and platform-specific content.
• Professional experience in entertainment, film, television, streaming, digital series, media, production, or another story-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
• Ability to independently review, select, edit, finish, and export high-quality video and static content.
• Experience working with long-form footage, scripts, transcripts, shot lists, or production selects.
• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to identify compelling moments without revealing protected story information.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and other major social platforms.
• Experience scheduling and publishing content through native platforms or approved social media management tools.
• Working knowledge of organic and paid social publishing workflows.
• Understanding of aspect ratios, codecs, captions, safe zones, thumbnails, platform specifications, and quality-control requirements.
• Strong writing, proofreading, organization, and file-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple releases, formats, deadlines, and approval rounds simultaneously.
• Clear communication skills and confidence working with marketing leads, producers, editors, designers, talent, and remote production teams.
• Ability to receive strategic direction and creative feedback, then translate it into accurate finished work.
• Discretion when handling confidential footage, scripts, unreleased story information, and talent materials.
• Ability to work quickly and calmly under tight production and release deadlines.
• Flexibility to support occasional evening or weekend publishing tied to releases, premieres, events, or time-sensitive campaign moments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience marketing films, episodic entertainment, vertical series, streaming releases, or creator-led programming.
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, or comparable motion-design tools.
• Experience creating trailers, teasers, entertainment cutdowns, cast content, or behind-the-scenes features.
• Experience with motion graphics, audio cleanup, color correction, and basic finishing.
• Familiarity with paid social trafficking across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, or comparable advertising platforms.
• Understanding of music licensing, footage clearance, talent approvals, embargoes, and entertainment marketing workflows.
• Experience capturing behind-the-scenes or social-first footage on set.
• Experience working across distributed or remote production teams.
