Job description

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is one of four Lockheed Martin business areas.
We are experiencing growth and looking for a motivated Production Test Engineer to join our Troy Test Engineering team. This position is ideal for engineers with 3+ years of relevant experience who are passionate about test and integration. You will support the testing of missiles and missile subsystems, helping to maintain efficient production flows while learning best practices in test development and troubleshooting.
In this hands-on role, you will work closely with production technicians, senior test engineers, design engineers, and quality teams to identify and resolve issues, improve test processes, and contribute to first-pass yield goals.
This position will support a 12 hour shift on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and the ability to flex the remaining 4 hours throughout the week.
What You Will Be Doing
Key Responsibilities:
-Execute and monitor production test processes, including functional testing, boundary scan, environmental stress screening (ESS), and system level verification
-Troubleshoot test failures at the board and system level using standard electronic test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies)
-Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining test procedures, work instructions, and fixtures to support efficient and repeatable production testing.
-Analyze test data and failure trends to identify root causes of defects in collaboration with engineering and quality items
-Support the debug and repair of test equipment, fixtures, and software to minimize downtime in the production line.
-Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test coverage, reduce cycle time, and improve overall product yield and quality.
-Document test results, non-conformances, and corrective actions in accordance with company quality management systems
-Provide technical support to production operators and technicians during daily operation
-Collaborate with design engineers to incorporate design-for-test (DFT) principles into new product introductions (NPI)
