Job description

Cepeda is seeking an Entry-Level JR Software Test Engineer to provide onsite support to the THAAD Trainers Team at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. This position plays a critical role in supporting the U.S. Army's institutional training mission for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) weapon system. The position supports a multidisciplinary team of software, test, and systems engineers responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining complex training software. Must be adept at working in environments that require both self-direction and close collaboration, contributing to high-quality, actionable requirements and reliable system performance for mission-critical THAAD Trainer solutions.
Responsibilities:
  • Create, document, and execute manual test plans and test cases
  • Support the team by identifying, documenting, and tracking defects
  • Participate in test planning activities
  • Collaborate with developers and testers in a fast-paced, agile environment

Qualifications
Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
  • Zero (0) or more years of relevant experience (Entry Level)

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must possess the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required

Required Qualifications
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to think critically and logically
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Coursework or projects related to software testing or quality assurance.
