Our locations are authorized service centers for Mack, Volvo, Cummins, Meritor, Eaton and Fuller warranties. TEC truly offers the convenience of one-stop shopping for all trucking-related needs.

Overview

The Insurance Sales Producer is responsible for establishing and maintaining new insurance customers, as well as current customer accounts. Includes soliciting insurance and any additional business from assigned accounts. 

The individual representative is responsible for four areas of activity:  Prospecting, Selling, Customer Follow-up, and Self-management. Continuously challenged to improve the performance of the department and contribute to the overall success of the agency and TEC Equipment. Maintains a strong work ethic with a total commitment to sales success each and every day.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for new insurance contracts, including transportation, casualty, and property.
  • Customize insurance to cover client risks.
  • Cultivate prospective new business through cold calls, emails, referrals, and networking. Build a strong customer pipeline and meet with customers when appropriate to provide solutions to problems, review product needs, determine new opportunities, and provide product quotes; ensure all customers understand TEC Equipment's Insurance value proposition.
  • Demonstrate behavior at all times that supports achievement of required sales and new account targets including completing daily cold-calls and customer contacts, utilizing excellent communication skills, and refining sales strategies; be authentic in your desire to deliver TEC Equipment's Insurance value proposition at all times and to all potential and current customers.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly client/team support. This includes but is not limited to responding to inquiries timely and thoroughly, maintaining open lines of communication and sharing knowledge, fostering strong relationships with internal/external business partners). Offer superior levels of service to customers and maintain all standards necessary to being recognized for superior customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in training classes and share knowledge when requested or as opportunities arise.
  • Conduct policy reviews on in-force policies and advise on additional coverages and policies during the pre-renewal interview/remarket and new business period.
  • Maintain up-to-date electronic client files in compliance with agency EPIC management and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with continued education and licensing requirements.
  • Participate in development of new hires as requested.
  • Help the agency achieve its goals and objectives. Participate in projects or initiatives as requested by the Insurance Director.
  • Conduct affairs in a manner conducive to good citizenship with the community and operate with the laws and regulations of all local, state, and federal jurisdictions.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Insurance Agency
  • Knowledge in products offered by TEC Insurance
  • Knowledge in Insurance compliance and best practices
  • Knowledge in selling techniques and sales process
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively through various mediums
  • Proficiency with tools and systems (e.g., Windows, Microsoft Office, etc. and of industry acumen)
  • Ability to identify and solve problems; ability to appropriately resolve conflicts
  • Ability to act as a team player and maintain excellent relationships with team members and all other internal and external partners
  • Experience in trucking insurance sales preferred
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License
