Job description

Job Summary:
Tacoma City Theaters is seeking a Stage Door Attendant to provide a key support role in ensuring smooth and secure access for our Resident Arts Organizations utilizing studio spaces. This position provides on-site assistance, monitors safety and facility conditions, and acts as the primary liaison between the venue and clients during rehearsals. This position may serve as stage door attendant during public events.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Walk through all spaces to confirm cleanliness standards have been met and readiness for guests
  • Welcoming and directing clients and guests arriving and managing elevator and door access
  • Ensuring all areas of the facility in use by the client are secure before, during and after client and guests' occupation and conducting periodic safety checks during space usage
  • Performing a full lock up and building security after client departure by securing all access points
  • Reporting any maintenance and safety concerns as needed to manager

Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of previous experience in building security is required (guard card is not mandatory)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, observant, and proactive in enforcing access and safety procedure
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures
  • Evening or weekend availability is a must

Compensation:
  • Hourly Rate: $19 per hour (Non-exempt)
  • Overtime: time and one half paid for weekly hours over 40
  • Sick leave paid in accordance with Washington state law
