Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company’s financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and supporting overall accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts and financial records
• Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial statements regularly
• Prepare and maintain financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements)
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Manage payroll processing (if applicable)
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
• Support audits by providing required documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information

Preferred Skills

• Experience with payroll systems
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools
• Certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus
