Job description

We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth and expand our client portfolio. This sales-focused role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, building strategic relationships with decision-makers, and selling workforce solutions to organizations across targeted industries.

The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with a proven track record of generating new business, managing a sales pipeline, and closing staffing opportunities. This individual will serve as a key contributor to the company's growth by securing new client partnerships and helping organizations solve their hiring and workforce challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to generate new client relationships and revenue growth.
  • Identify, prospect, and engage prospective clients through cold calling, networking, referrals, email outreach, social selling, and industry events.
  • Build relationships with hiring managers, HR leaders, department heads, and executive decision-makers.
  • Conduct needs assessments to understand workforce challenges and staffing requirements.
  • Present and sell temporary, contract, contract-to-hire, direct hire, and workforce solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation through proposal, negotiation, and closing.
  • Collaborate with recruiting and operations teams to ensure successful delivery of staffing solutions.
  • Negotiate service agreements, pricing structures, and contractual terms.
  • Maintain an active pipeline and provide accurate forecasting through CRM systems.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and labor market conditions to identify new opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and business organizations.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales activity and revenue targets.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and sales experience.
  • 3+ years of business development, staffing sales, workforce solutions, or B2B sales experience.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and achieving revenue goals.
  • Strong prospecting, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience managing a full sales cycle and complex client relationships.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Bullhorn, or similar systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous staffing, recruiting, workforce solutions, or professional services sales experience.
  • Existing network of business contacts within target industries.
  • Experience selling temporary staffing, direct hire, contract staffing, or managed workforce solutions.
  • Knowledge of labor market trends, workforce planning, and talent acquisition strategies.
