Job Title: Staffing Coordinator

We bring together some of the top home health agencies in New York and serve thousands of clients daily with strategically placed offices across the state.
Position Overview:
Always Compassionate Health is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to join our coordination team. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of compassionate care to our clients by collaborating with caregivers and ensuring their schedules align with patient needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care and possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Manage staffing according to patient schedules and care needs. Work closely with caregivers to ensure timely and effective care delivery.
  • Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for caregivers, clients, and families. Effectively communicate schedule changes and service issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with recruitment to address staffing challenges, especially in hard-to-reach areas.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of staff schedules, changes in client status, complaints, and incidents. Keep a daily staff/call log.
  • Follow-Up: Ensure continuous communication with clients and families regarding care and service updates. Follow up on any concerns or issues.
  • On-Call Responsibilities: Be available after hours, including weekends, for urgent staffing needs and issues.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in home care settings.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with NYS Department of Health healthcare operations.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Technology: Proficient with smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other devices.
  • Customer Service: Background in customer service and attention to detail with problem-solving capabilities.

Requirements:
  • Ability to document and communicate staff assignments and changes to supervisors and relevant parties.
