Title: Medical Staff Coordinator
Facility: St. Anthony's Hospital
Medical Staff Services Professionals are the gatekeepers of patient safety - the first point in healthcare delivery, connecting providers and healthcare practitioners with patients.
The Medical Staff Coordinator role includes responsibilities such as: Compiles, evaluates, and presents practitioner-specific data collected for review to assure and assess provider competency toward the best healthcare delivery. This role requires extreme organization skills, critical thinking skills, and time management skills along with the ability to work independently. Proficiency with computer and software skills, enthusiasm to learn, and strong work ethic are traits we are looking for in this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for coordinating various functions within the Medical Staff Services department, for supporting activities outside of, but related to, the department, and for managing the daily activities of the Medical Staff Services office.
  • Oversees all aspects of the Allied Health or Medical Staff credentialing and reappointment processes.
  • Serves as a liaison to members of the medical, nursing and administrative staff.
  • Ensures the dissemination of medical staff information to appropriate staffs and is familiar with and properly handles files according to the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to reappointment processes, management of allied records, medical staff committee and department meeting support.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
