Job description

FurstStaffing has General Laborer opportunities at GENERAL MILLS, a highly regarded snacks manufacturing plant, in Belvidere. This position will give you a THREE-DAY WEEKEND every other week!
 
The General Laborer is an essential production support role
 
$18.00 per hour
 
The shift hours for PM General Laborer are 5:30pm-6:00am within an Alternating Work Week Schedule:
 
  • Week One - Mon/Tue/Sat (36 hours)
  • Week Two - Sun/Mon/Thu/Fri (48 hours)
 
Shifts are 12.5 hours which include three 30 minutes breaks, two of which are paid time.
 
Primary responsibility for the General Laborer position:
  • Loading folded boxes from cage into baler
 
Additional tasks may include:
  • Loading cups onto conveyor line
  • Hand packing product into boxes/cartons
  • Stacking boxes/cartons onto pallets
  • Hand feeding product onto the production line
  • Box making and break down
  • Visual inspection of various products and packaging material components
  • Line cleaning and sanitation
 
Job requirements for the Packer position include:
  • Ability to stand throughout shift and lift a up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to reach, bend, twist, and walk up and down stairs
