Packaging
Food Manufacturing Packager
Packaging operators work with a variety of different equipment ranging from automated belts and scale systems to robotics for stacking finished goods.
Main Responsibilities
  1. Follow good manufacturing practices to ensure the quality of the product.
  2. Adhere to occupational health and safety guidelines.
  3. Understanding and following standard operating procedures (SOP).
  4. Operating packaging equipment.
  5. Conduct metal detector checks every two hours.
  6. Erecting boxes and inserting liners.
  7. Inputting filled boxes through tape machine & verifying every box is clean and properly coded/labeled.
  8. Verify scales are operating properly, identifying product weight.

  1. Palletizing boxes.
  2. Stacking boxes in the proper pattern and choosing the correct type of pallet based on customer requirements.

  1. Maintaining product flow.
  2. Packaging the product at a pace allows for continuous production.
  3. Using radios to communicate any packaging needs from each department.
  4. Identifying when the production volume will not meet or exceed daily production goals and alert the necessary staff to correct.
