Position: Environmental Scientist - Air Testing Specialist 
This entry-level role is part of our Integrated Air Services (IAS) Group. Westonโ€™s IAS team conducts testing projects to assist clients in emissions testing and demonstrating emissions compliance with industry-specific regulations set forth in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 40 โ€“ Protection of Environment. Projects typically involve measuring air emissions directly from industrial sources and/or the ambient air in the vicinity using state-of-the-art instrumentation housed in mobile laboratories.
  
Location: West Chester, PA 
Please note:  Must be comfortable working at heights (up to 75 feet minimum), with regular responsibilities that include climbing stacks and performing work on elevated structures.
  
Expected Outcomes: 
  • Perform scientific emissions testing procedures utilizing EPA or ASTM Test Methodologies.
  • Work safely in a positive enterprise and team environment.
  • Travel up to 80%, primarily within the Southeast Region, with potential assignments in other U.S. regions. This typically involves being away Monday through Friday, with all travel expenses covered by the company.
  • Gain hands-on experience with EPA Methods for air emissions testing, building specialized technical expertise.
  • Engage directly with clients, developing strong professional communication and relationship-building skills.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
  • BS or AS degree in Environmental Science, Physical Science, or Engineering preferred. Technical High School graduates with mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
  • Testing experience is a plus but not required; on-the-job technical and safety training provided.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to learn technical sampling techniques, work with a team, work outdoors at elevation, and lift up to 50 lbs.
