Min - $121,388.80
Mid - $161,824.00
Max - $202,176.00
Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of all activities in the Pulmonary Department, ABG Laboratory, Cardiology Department and Neurology Department, referring out of the ordinary issues to Administration. Supervises and monitors the performance of the staff with physicians, hospital staff, patients and patients? families and significant others to provide comprehensive care. Provides direct patient care as needed..
Responsibilities:
- Integrates department operations into the organization?s overall functioning.
- Collaborates with administration to develop goals.
- Responsible for developing the department Plan and Scope of Service for reviewing/updating every three years.
- Develops and recommends operating budget in collaboration with Administration and Fiscal Services.
- Monitors and assures compliance with allocated budget.
- Conducts monthly department staff meetings. Assures that minutes include communication of the organization?s direction and operation. Distributes minutes to appropriate individuals.
- Coordinates and integrates inter- and intra departmental services.
- Collaborates with other departments in planning and carrying out daily operations as appropriate.
- Develops, revises and implements policies, procedures, systems and/or processes that guide and support the provision of services.
- Assures uniform implementation through appropriate planning and collaboration with affected departments.

Required Qualification: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy required.
2. Bachelor?s of Science in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
3. Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
4. NBRC- Registered Respiratory Therapist required.
5. Current BLS required.
6. Current ACLS required.
7. Current NRP required.
8. Sexual Harassment/ Bullying Prevention Certification required. (1 month from hire)
9. Current PALS preferred.
10. Five years of acute respiratory care experience.
11. Two years supervisory experience.
