Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Critical Care Clinical Educator (ED/ICU) provides staff development expertise in their assigned specialty as an educator, expert clinician, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader, patient advocate and researcher. Each supports the clinical and professional development of their staff, with a goal of achieving excellence in the delivery of evidence based nursing practice. The Critical Care Clinical Educator(ED/ICU) facilitates the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency, continuing education and professional development.
  • The Critical Care Clinical Educator will have responsibilities for Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican Rose De Lima Emergency Services and Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican San Martin Emergency Servies and Intensive Care units
  • In addition, as a role model of professional behavior, the Critical Care Clinical Educator (ED/ICU) assists in creating a professional nursing climate and supports the SRDH mission, vision and values.
  • Direct reporting to Education leadership

Job Requirements
Minimum:
  • 5 years of applied clinical experience as an RN in assigned specialty or as a Clinical Educator or Clinical Instructor
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Critical Care Services in CV-ICU
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nursing Education or related area or current enrollment in a Master's Degree program with an education plan approved by the CNE which will allow completion of the Master's Degree program within three years.
  • Will accept Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • RN license from NV State Nursing Board.

Preferred:
  • National certification in specialty or Professional Staff Development.
  • 5 years experience in ED amd Neuro
  • Instructor status in at least one of the mandatory certifications required for assigned specialty.
