Job description

CHI St. Luke s Health Memorial in Lufkin, TX, is actively seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist with ERCP capabilities for a full-time locum position at their inpatient facility, with a planned start date of January 1, 2026. This opportunity is open to one or two locums, and coverage can be provided on one- or two-week stretches.

Position Overview:

  • Facility: CHI St. Luke s Health Memorial Lufkin, 1201 W Frank Ave, Lufkin, TX 75904
  • Setting: Inpatient only (No outpatient work)
  • Required Procedures: Standard GI procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and ERCP
  • FTE: 1 Full-Time Position
  • EMR: Currently using Paragon, with plans to switch to EPIC later in 2026
  • Support Staff: Endoscopy-trained GI nursing staff for procedures
  • Reason for Coverage: Permanent GI physician is leaving
