Job description

About Tia

Tia is building a new model for women's healthcare, one that treats women as whole people, not separate conditions or life stages. By integrating primary care, mental health, gynecology, dermatology, and wellness across both in-person and virtual settings, Tia is improving outcomes, lowering costs, and creating a better experience for patients and providers alike.

About the Role

As a Phlebotomist at Tia, you will support both clinical and operational workflows that help the clinic run smoothly. You will perform blood draws and specimen collection, support lab processing and supply management, assist with patient rooming and clinical preparation, and partner closely with providers and clinic teammates to create a seamless patient experience.

Why Tia
  • Opportunity to help shape and scale a new model of women's healthcare
  • Mission-driven environment focused on improving care for women across life stages
  • Collaborative, thoughtful team committed to patient and provider experience
  • Modern care model that integrates clinical care, operations, technology, and innovation
  • Meaningful opportunity to help build scalable systems, workflows, and practices
  • Hands-on clinic role with direct impact on patient experience, care quality, and day-to-day clinic flow

What You'll Do
  • Phlebotomy & Specimen Collection: Perform venipuncture, fingersticks, and specimen collection while ensuring accurate patient identification, labeling, documentation, and specimen handling.
  • Lab Operations: Prepare lab orders in advance, process and package specimens for transport, reconcile lab errors, run required controls, and maintain knowledge of Quest products and specimen requirements.
  • Patient Care Support: Room patients, collect vitals, review charts in advance of visits, support patient check-in workflows, and help prepare patients and providers for efficient visits.
  • Clinical Procedure Support: Support providers with point-of-care testing, patient consents, procedure setup, chaperoning, autoclave maintenance, surgical equipment sterilization, and room readiness.
  • Supplies & Equipment Management: Maintain lab and clinical supplies, review expiration dates, order supplies as needed, and clean, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment.
  • Clinic Operations: Help keep communal and clinical areas stocked, clean, and organized while supporting clinic inbox workflows, documentation, and communication across the care team.
  • Ad Hoc Support: Support clinic operations through cross-functional projects, process documentation, research, product sourcing, team meeting support, training support, and other operational needs as assigned.

What You'll BringRequirements
  • Active California Certified Phlebotomy Technician license, CPT I or CPT II, in good standing
  • 1+ year of hands-on phlebotomy experience in a clinical, laboratory, or outpatient care setting
  • Experience performing venipuncture, fingersticks, specimen labeling, processing, packaging, and documentation
  • Experience supporting patient-facing clinical workflows, such as vitals, rooming, or point-of-care testing
  • Ability to work onsite at the Pasadena Tia Clinic, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Nice to Have
  • 2+ years of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient clinic, primary care, women's health, urgent care, or high-volume lab environment
  • Experience working with Quest Diagnostics workflows, lab orders, specimen requirements, or lab error reconciliation
  • Experience with autoclaving, disinfecting, sterilization, procedure setup, supply management, or clinical inventory workflows

This role is based in our Culver City clinic.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
