Job Title: Neurodiagnostic Technician (EEG, EMG, NCV Tech)
Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
Join our dynamic outpatient neurology practice as a Neurodiagnostic Technician, specializing in performing Electroencephalogram (EEG), Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) studies. As a crucial member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in helping diagnose and monitor neurological conditions. The primary focus of this position is on NCV procedures, making expertise in NCV studies essential.
Responsibilities:

  • Perform Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) Studies:
  • Conduct and analyze NCV studies to assess the integrity and functionality of the peripheral nervous system.
  • Collaborate with neurologists to ensure accurate and comprehensive assessments.
  • Electroencephalogram (EEG) Procedures:
  • Administer and interpret EEGs to monitor and record electrical activity in the brain.
  • Ensure the proper application of electrodes and other monitoring equipment.
  • Recognize and troubleshoot technical issues during EEG procedures.
  • Patient Preparation and Education:
  • Prepare patients for neurodiagnostic procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
  • Educate patients on the purpose and process of NCV and EEG studies.
  • Data Recording and Analysis:
  • Accurately record and document results of NCV and EEG studies.
  • Collaborate with neurologists to analyze findings and contribute to patient diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
  • Perform routine maintenance on neurodiagnostic equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of any equipment malfunctions or the need for repairs.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Adhere to industry standards, protocols, and regulations governing neurodiagnostic procedures.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Professional Development:
  • Stay updated on advancements in neurodiagnostic technology and techniques.
  • Attend relevant workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Completion of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program or relevant on the job training
  • Certification: Certification in Neurodiagnostic Technology (e.g., R.EEG T. or CNCT) required.
  • Experience: Significant experience in performing NCV studies is preferred. Experience with EEG procedures is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and reliable results.
