What is an SST coordinator?

SST Coordinators, or Student Study Team Coordinators, are education professionals who facilitate the SST process in schools. They work with teachers, parents, and other specialists to identify students who are struggling academically or behaviorally and organize meetings to develop intervention strategies. Their main role is to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed, often by coordinating resources, tracking progress, and communicating with all parties involved. SST Coordinators play a vital role in early intervention and special education referral processes within a school.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be an SST coordinator?

These abilities ensure effective student support, compliance with educational regulations, and smooth collaboration among staff and families.
