Job description

Back Senior Testing Analyst
Cloud Solutions Columbia , South Carolina Contract On-Site Aug 13, 2026

Role: Senior Cloud Test Analyst
Rate: $48/hour W2
Location: Columbia, SC
Schedule: Hybrid/Onsite

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Test Analyst to support a large-scale AWS cloud migration initiative. This role will focus on validating cloud-native, containerized, and legacy applications as they are migrated into AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud-hosted application testing, Agile delivery, test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and compliance-focused QA practices. This is a hands-on role that will partner closely with developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders to ensure applications meet quality, performance, security, and accessibility standards prior to deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for applications migrating to AWS.
  • Lead functional, regression, integration, system, failover, and performance testing across cloud environments.
  • Validate cloud migration efforts, including lift-and-shift and re-platforming initiatives.
  • Identify, track, and manage defects using TestRail, JIRA, Confluence, or ALM.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and test suites.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and AWS CodePipeline.
  • Perform REST and SOAP API testing, SQL validation, and end-to-end application testing.
  • Support security, compliance, and accessibility testing efforts.
  • Maintain testing documentation, test metrics, execution results, and defect reporting.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with development and business teams.
  • Analyze testing results and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 9+ years of IT experience, including experience developing test plans and/or test matrices.
  • Experience testing cloud-hosted applications and supporting cloud migration initiatives.
  • Strong Agile testing and CI/CD experience.
  • Experience with TestRail, JIRA, Confluence, or ALM.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium Grid, JUnit, TestNG, Apache JMeter, SoapUI, and/or Postman.
  • Strong understanding of REST/SOAP API testing, SQL, and test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with test data strategy, version control, defect triage, and test metrics reporting.
  • Experience implementing automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience testing applications utilizing AWS services including EC2, IAM, S3, RDS/Aurora, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and CodeBuild.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document and resolve complex technical issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare, Medicare, or regulated-industry experience.
  • Experience with HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST security and compliance standards.
  • Accessibility testing experience including Section 508 and WCAG compliance.
  • Experience using Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, WAVE, or similar security testing tools.
  • Knowledge of Java, WebSphere, Oracle, DB2, IMS, VSAM, or other enterprise technologies.
  • Experience with white-box testing, static testing, integration testing, or JAWS accessibility testing.
Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidates will bring a blend of AWS cloud testing, cloud migration experience, test automation, API testing, CI/CD pipeline integration, and compliance-focused QA expertise. This is not a pure performance/load testing role. Candidates should be comfortable leading testing efforts across complex cloud environments while ensuring high-quality application delivery.
