Summary:
Cosm is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to drive the successful delivery of our most critical venue deployment initiatives. In this role, you will lead the coordination and execution of complex, multi-disciplinary technology programs while building scalable processes.
You are a seasoned program manager who combines disciplined execution with strategic thinking. You bring deep expertise managing large-scale technical implementations across multiple domains and have proven success leading cross-functional teams through ambiguity, conflicting priorities, and high-pressure delivery environments. You are equally comfortable breaking down complex technical problems, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, and engaging closely with your coworkers.
Reporting to the Director of Technical Program Management, you will work closely with our Venue Deployment, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure venue deployments are executed smoothly, on schedule, and with high quality. You will serve as a cultural model for transparent risk management, proactive problem-solving, and business ownership - helping to transform how Cosm approaches complex technical programs.
Responsibilities:
  • Venue Deployment Program Management
    • Lead the technical program management of complex venue deployment initiatives from planning through post-launch optimization
    • Own end-to-end program delivery: schedule development, dependency tracking, risk management, stakeholder communication, and launch execution
    • Drive coordination across multiple technical and operational domains (networking, A/V systems, platform integration, field engineering, operations readiness)
    • Identify and drive resolution of technical risks, resource constraints, and cross-functional dependencies
    • Regularly communicate program status to Director and executive stakeholders with appropriate context and recommendations
  • Process & Framework Development
    • Help build out Cosm's venue deployment framework with the Director, balancing standardization with flexibility
    • Design and build repeatable playbooks, checklists, reference guides, and decision trees that capture tribal knowledge and enable faster, more reliable deployments
    • Systematically document lessons learned from launches and translate them into process improvements and updated templates
    • Drive adoption of new processes and tools; gather feedback and refine based on real-world usage
  • Technical Program Leadership
    • Guide technical teams toward long-term, scalable solutions rather than short-term workarounds
    • Help technical and business leaders navigate trade-offs between "do it right" and "do it now" with visibility into downstream consequences
    • Anticipate technical risks based on patterns from prior deployments; work with technical leads to mitigate early
    • Validate that solutions will meet operational needs; connect technical decisions to business impact
    • Build trusted relationships with senior technical and operational stakeholders
    • Facilitate alignment among teams with different priorities; help find win-win solutions
    • Model transparent, proactive risk identification and discussion

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent program/project management certification.
  • 6+ years of program management experience
  • Proven track record of leading high-stakes programs to successful completion in environments with competing priorities, technical complexity, and tight timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across organizational boundaries without direct authority; proven skill at building trust and alignment among senior stakeholders
  • Experience building and scaling processes, frameworks, and documentation to enable teams to execute more effectively and independently
  • Excellent communication - ability to communicate clearly with executive stakeholders, technical teams, and business partners; strong written and verbal skills
  • Travel up to 50% during peak venue launch phases

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with large-scale venue, event, facility, or physical infrastructure deployments
  • Background in systems integration, A/V technology, or broadcast/live entertainment environments
  • Technical background with hands-on understanding of backend systems, networking, hardware integration, cloud technologies, and/or infrastructure (direct implementation experience not required, but technical fluency is essential)

The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $110,000- $140,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment. This requirement is in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws. Cosm is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
