Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Analyst to join our Point-of-Sale Fraud Risk Analytics & Intelligent Reporting team. In this role, you will focus on developing analytical insights into the strategies employed by our risk partners to identify and mitigate fraud. You will be responsible for creating, automating, and deploying intelligent solutions that address the reporting and analytical needs of the business line. Additionally, you will ensure that compliance and control requirements are met, providing timely and reliable information to the appropriate audience.

As a Quantitative Analytics Associate Senior in the Point-of-Sale Fraud Risk Analytics & Intelligence team, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and anticipating new and emerging risks and trends. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to assess risk factors and apply your expert judgment to address challenges that affect our company, customers, and communities. Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze large volumes of complex data to formulate problem statements and draw concise conclusions about underlying risk dynamics, trends, and opportunities.
  • Identify and develop key risk indicators and metrics, enhance existing reporting mechanisms, and explore new analytical areas to improve fraud detection.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to understand and address key business challenges.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, taking ownership of problem-solving from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with Product Risk managers and other stakeholders to support the development and monitoring of new strategies and products.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • 5+ years experience in analytics, business intelligence, business analysis, strategy & analytics, or a related role.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets, including the ability to validate results and troubleshoot data issues.
  • Strong financial analytical skills with the ability to extract business insights from complex data structures.
  • Experience building dashboards and recurring reports, and communicating insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management skills-able to manage timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communications across multiple workstreams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibly adapt to change, with excellent analytical storytelling skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to turn ambiguous questions into structured problem statements and requirements.
  • High attention to detail and comfort operating in a controlled environment with data governance and privacy expectations.

Preferred Qualification, Capabilities and Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Financial Data analytics 
  • Python programming skills
  • Familiarity with data mining and other advanced analytics techniques

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.  This role is 5 days a week full time in office.
