IMG is seeking a talented Production Manager to play a pivotal role within the production management team, overseeing large-scale sports productions.
  • Collaborate with the Coordinating Producer, Production Executive, and Production Management team to ensure production and client requirements are met efficiently and within budget.
  • Lead studio and match production management teams on logistical planning (including transport, accommodation, and catering), as well as general planning and problem-solving.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety guidelines and confirm appropriate production insurance is in place.
  • Ensure all production and post-production paperwork and contracts are completed and maintained.
  • Manage, forecast, and monitor programmed budgets, ensuring costs are controlled, efficiencies achieved, and required margins met. Escalate concerns to the Production Executive as necessary.
  • Negotiate, book, and issue contracts with vendors, suppliers, and freelancers.
  • Ensure contingent worker hires comply with current employment and tax guidelines.
  • Understand technical workflows and contribute to the development of technical production plans.
  • Manage, arrange, and attend shoots and outside broadcasts across the USA.
  • Effectively manage the production team, including mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • Recruit Production Coordinators and Assistants and proactively support career development within the team.
  • Manage and distribute production documentation, including call sheets and studio information.
  • Champion IMG's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives and actively support the organization's Mental Health programs.
  • Oversee all health and safety procedures, including risk assessments and insurance management.
  • Work closely with colleagues during pre-production, production, and post-production to support IMG's GreenToScreen sustainability goals and reduce the production's carbon footprint wherever possible.
  • Prepare budgets for productions in development.

You may also be required to carry out other duties that are within the scope and purpose of the role.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Proven Production Management experience across a variety of projects, particularly live OBs and/or studio shows
  • Experience managing junior production management staff
  • Ability to create detailed, line-by-line production budgets
  • Strong knowledge of production and post-production technologies and workflows
  • Understanding of archive and music clearance
  • Knowledge of production insurance and health and safety requirements
  • Experience working directly with clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
