Senior Infrastructure Program Manager
Location: Chandler, AZ (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Role Overview
This position is responsible for leading enterprise-scale End of Life (EOL) technology remediation efforts across internal compute environments, with a primary focus on migrating legacy workloads to a new hyperconverged internal cloud virtual hosting platform. The role holder will be accountable for the assessment, planning, execution tracking, and successful remediation of approximately 14,000 servers. This involves owning the end-to-end EOL remediation lifecycle, including stakeholder coordination, capacity planning, migration strategy alignment, and progress governance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with platform and workload owners to identify, assess, and document EOL server inventory across all in-scope environments.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive remediation plan and tracking mechanism for approximately 14,000 servers, aligned to quarterly and target-state milestones.
  • Create and manage capacity plans to support large-scale workload migration to the hyperconverged internal cloud platform.
  • Drive alignment with engineering, architecture, and product teams to ensure target-state platform adoption is the default remediation path.
  • Establish and report on KPIs and progress metrics, with a focus on platform migration rate, residual bare metal remediation, and timeline adherence.
  • Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies, and proactively drive issue resolution across organizational boundaries.
  • Provide executive-level visibility through status reporting, dashboards, and escalation management.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering or management roles. Demonstrated experience leading large-scale remediation or migration programs involving thousands of assets or workloads is required. Candidates must have a strong understanding of server lifecycle management, EOL processes, and infrastructure environments, with a proven ability to drive cross-organizational alignment. Experience building and managing capacity plans and execution tracking frameworks is also necessary.
Technical Skills: Enterprise Technology Remediation & Lifecycle Management, Capacity Planning & Workload Migration Strategy, Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) or private/internal cloud platforms.
  • Background in financial services or other highly regulated enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with grid computing environments and distributed workload patterns.
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including experience with status reporting to senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of VMWare, Google Cloud Platform, or RedHat OpenShift.
