Job description

Position: Senior Division Order Analyst
Location: Denver, CO

Company Summary: Growing oil and gas company with an operational focus on the DJ Basin.
Position Summary: The Senior Division Order Analyst will be responsible for the overall
management of the land administration data, including but not limited to daily and monthly
Division Order tasks, data management and integrity, ensuring the proper distribution of revenue
obtained from the production of minerals and occasional land projects. This position will require
a Senior Division Order Analyst that is self-motivated, has a knack for creating and maintaining
data integrity, has the ability to work through land administration tasks with little to no supervision,
works well with others within the Company, and has excellent communication skills. The Senior
Division Order Analyst will report directly to the Land Admin Manager
Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience level and qualifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish Land Administration processes and procedures
  • Coordinate and execute all Land Administration activities to ensure efficient and
    effective operations
  • Communicate and facilitate the flow of information between Land Administration and
    other departments
  • Assist in investigating and understanding necessary data clean-up items
  • Ensure data integrity throughout the data associated with Land Administration
  • Support and maintain land records, including digital files
  • Interpret title documentation including but not limited to title opinions, assignments,operating agreements, deeds, farmouts, and probate documents to assist in determining ownership, deductions allowed, and verify the accuracy of payment to interest owners
  • Set up and maintain revenue and joint interest billing decks on operated and non-operatedproperties for purposes of payment of proceeds and a working interest owner’s billableshare of the burdens
  • Work closely with revenue accounting to ensure the division of interest revenue decks areaccurate and capture the JOA, TIK, and non-op net interests correctly
  • Responsible for audit compliance and payout monitoring
  • Evaluate, interpret, request proper documentation, if necessary, and process interesttransfers
  • Chaining title
  • Research and resolve complex quality control reports, decimal discrepancies, and titleissues
  • Review curative and due diligence for wells and cure any title defects when required
  • Review suspense funds on a quarterly basis and request proper documentation for releaseor set owners up for escheat
  • Communicate and disseminate information and data to foster and maintain goodwillthrough positive interaction with lessors, overriding royalty owners and working interest partners
  • Communicate effectively with the BLM, ONRR, and other local government entities as
  • required to perform tasks
  • Analyze and process accounting directives
Additional land related tasks as assigned
Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience and competencies in teamwork, constructive collaboration,
    project management, time management, and skills related to land administration
  • Knowledge of land operations and land administrative processes and can apply thatknowledge directly to your daily responsibilities
    Strong attention to detail and ability to perform duties with high level accuracy
  • Direct work experience and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proven examples of identifying solutions to division order related issues and suggestingprocess improvements to increase effectiveness
  • Ability to build a strong working relationship with personnel in other departments
  • Action oriented personality with a strong sense of initiative, motivation, and drive
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret all Land Administration matters – procedures,legal documentation, contractual agreements, transfer of ownership records, ownershipreports, division of interest calculations, and title opinions
Experience working within land applications such as Accurint
Certifications are a plus:
  • Petroleum Land Management, Certified Division Order Analyst
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Combination of Education and/or Experience may beconsidered in lieu of degree
    Requirements:
  • 8+ years of Land Administration experience
  • 6+ years of Division Order Analyst or above experience
  • Proficiency in Quorum or related software experience
