As a SQL Database Administrator, your experience in SQL will directly drive mission success. Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the functionality, performance, and efficiency of enterprise servers running across multiple operating systems.
  • Maintains the integrity and security of all servers and systems to ensure reliable operations.
  • Setup administrator and service accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation.
  • Develop and enforce policies and standards for computing resource allocation.
  • Develop, implement, and document testing strategies to validate system performance.
  • Provide advice on database performance tuning and deliver user training.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and apply relevant innovations to enhance operations.
  • Contribute to high-visibility special projects that require advanced SQL expertise.
  • Collaborate with end users and evaluate vendor products to recommend the best-fit solutions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
  • 5 + years of related database analysis and/or administration experience.
  • SQL experience required. Oracle database administration a plus.
  • Experience in Oracle or SQL administration/tuning; including knowledge and implementation of database high-availability solutions (Windows Server Failover Clusters, SQL Server Failover Cluster instances, and AlwaysOn Availability groups)
  • Experience in monitoring, creating, and managing SQL server agent alerts
  • Experience with Database backup, restore, migration, and Database snapshot technologies/strategies
  • Knowledge on how to build/maintain efficient database table structures for both transactional and warehouse data
  • Knowledge of Oracle 19c administration and performance tuning
  • Migration experience with MySQL and PostgresSQL
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent preferred
