Location: Woodbridge, VA (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite)

Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a SQL Developer on behalf of our client in Woodbridge, VA. This role is ideal for a data-focused professional with strong expertise in SQL development, database management, data analysis, and process automation. The successful candidate will support enterprise-level database initiatives, optimize data processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions. Experience with GIS technologies and asset management systems is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, procedures, and database objects.
  • Perform database design, data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Conduct advanced data analysis and generate reports to support business operations.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and SQL/PSQL.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with established business rules.
  • Support database administration activities and troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Assist in project planning, task coordination, risk identification, and deliverable tracking.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge-sharing materials.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Geography, GIS, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in database development, database management, or data analysis.
  • Strong experience with Oracle databases and SQL development tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD, and SQL*Plus.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and PSQL development.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of database design principles, data modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and provide meaningful business insights.
  • Experience managing project tasks, schedules, and deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications
