SQL Database Administratorย 1.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system(s) of the enterprise.2.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Responsible for management of the data dictionary of the enterprise.3.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Work to ensure that the associated hardware resources are allocated to the databases and to ensure high resilience and performance tuning.4.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.5.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Responsible for providing trend analysis to IT Management to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.6.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL.7.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  To be able to develop and maintain SQL code and scripts.8.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollouts and upgrades.9.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Responsible for configuration, installation, and maintenance of databases and their associated software such as version upgrades, patches, and tools.10.ย ย ย ย ย ย  Responsible for creating and maintaining database documentation including disaster recovery.11.ย ย ย ย ย ย  Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales and costs.ย JOB REQUIREMENTSย 1.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and two to five years SQL DBA experience in a large corporate environment.ย  Can have a two-year technical degree with a MCTS for SQL Server Data Platform certification and at least 3 years DBA experience in a large corporate environment.ย 2.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Solid working knowledge of SharePoint 2013 and SQL Servers and databases, Active Directory, CP/IP, DNS, OSI, SQL Development Studio. .NET development a plus.3.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Effective communicator and planner.4.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to accomplish tasks with a minimum of supervision.5.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to work well with other departments and people outside of the enterprise.6.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Good customer service skills.7.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Good problem solving skills.8.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.9.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Knowledge of database applications development.10.ย ย ย ย ย ย  SQL Data replication experience.11.ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to set priorities and work on multiple tasks.
