SQL Developer

Over the last 33 years, Dental City has become a key contributor to the dental supply industry right here in Green Bay, WI. As a nationwide distributor, we sell and ship the supplies dental professionals need to care for their patients. It’s our mission to make their lives easier through smart supply ordering solutions and a state-of-the-art distribution center they can rely on.

We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer to support and enhance our SQL Server environment, data warehouse solutions, system integrations, and reporting capabilities. This SQL Developer role is ideal for a technical professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges through data, automation, and application development.

This position is ideally performed onsite at our Green Bay location. While onsite presence is strongly preferred, a hybrid schedule may be considered for candidates who demonstrate the ability to effectively meet the responsibilities of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, support, and enhance SQL Server data warehouse environments using T-SQL and SSIS; develop advanced stored procedures, functions, triggers, and SQL Agent jobs.
  • Develop and support integrations with internal and external systems.
  • Create and maintain SSRS reports, including parameterized, drill-down, and matrix reports; design, implement, and maintain queries, dashboards, reports, and data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues with minimal supervision and provide database support to web developers and reporting teams.
  • Document system processes, procedures, and technical workflows; support end users with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Dynamics GP applications.
  • Collaborate within Agile development environments and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience with IT applications, relational databases, and software development, preferably MS SQL Server.
  • 5-7 years of experience supporting ERP/CRM integrations and IT development initiatives using web technologies and architectures.
  • Experience with sales order processing, purchasing, inventory control, warehousing, or wholesale distribution is a plus.
Technical Skills
  • SQL Server 2012+ and Azure SQL; SSMS, SQL Profiler, and Database Tuning Advisor.
  • SSRS and SSIS development; data warehousing, ETL, and data integration.
  • JIRA and Azure DevOps.
  • ODBC connectivity and report-writing tools.
  • Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Access.
  • Microsoft Dynamics GP (preferred).
