Role Overview
The SQL Database Administrator is responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing SQL Server databases and reporting environments that power operational and executive decision-making. This role focuses heavily on SQL development, data quality, reporting, and analytics, while also supporting downstream systems such as CRM platforms and business applications.
Key Responsibilities
Database & Data Management
  • Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, functions, and stored procedures.
  • Create and manage databases and tables to support data warehousing, real-time, and historical reporting needs.
  • Monitor database performance and work with vendors or internal partners to ensure systems meet performance standards.
  • Implement data validation, quality checks, and auditing processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Reporting & Business Intelligence
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and SQL-based data sources.
  • Support enterprise reporting needs, including monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year-end processes.
  • Partner with business teams to define KPIs, metrics, and data requirements.
  • Perform advanced data analysis to translate raw data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Archive historical data and reporting outputs in accordance with data governance standards.
Systems & Application Support
  • Support data and reporting needs for enterprise systems, including CRM and ticketing platforms.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on system enhancements, integrations, and reporting changes.
  • Assist with system documentation, SOPs, and technical knowledge transfer.
  • Identify risks, data issues, or reporting gaps and communicate findings clearly to leadership.

Required Qualifications
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server in a DBA or advanced SQL development role.
  • Proven ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar BI tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy.
