Syntricate Technologies is seeking a SQL Database Administrator for a contract position. The role involves installation, configuration, and management of SQL database servers, ensuring performance tuning, backup and recovery, and support for production and development environments.
Responsibilities:
• Installation and Configuration of SQL database servers
• Managing Support of Prod, Dev, QA ,test environments
• OS Knowledge- Windows, Linux, AIX, AWS EC2
• SQL Server cluster Creation, Configuration and maintenance
• Monitor Performance of all database servers
• Access Management
• Space Management
• Server Health check reports
• Follow database best practices
• Ensure all database servers are backed up so we can meet the business Recovery Time Objective (RTO)
• Troubleshoot SQL Server and Oracle database server
• Performance tuning database servers
• Migrate/Upgrade/Patching database servers as and when required
• Deploy database change scripts provided as approved
• Backup and recovery using Rubirk tool
• Supporting DR and HA solutions
• Inventory Management (maintaining OS/server/equipment information managed by the engineers, Server resource detail, allocation, licensing info, end of life details, etc.)
• Documentation of processes
• On-call support
