Job Summary:
Kaztronix LLC is a Global Defense Contractor seeking a SQL Database Administrator to support a federal client in mission critical systems. The role involves overseeing database administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and ensuring the security and integrity of SQL databases.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Administer and maintain SQL Server database environments, including installation, configuration, and patch management.
โ€ข Administer and maintain database operational status and performance monitoring.
โ€ข Administer and maintain database replication monitoring and fault correction.
โ€ข Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal throughput and responsiveness.
โ€ข Perform database design, data modeling, and schema management to support application requirements and performance goals.
โ€ข Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access controls, data encryption, and auditing mechanisms.
โ€ข Conduct database capacity planning and forecasting to accommodate future growth and changing business requirements.
โ€ข Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity.
โ€ข Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries, database code, and stored procedures for improved performance.

โ€ข Due to contract requirements, only US Citizens can be considered. Candidates with dual citizenship cannot be considered.
โ€ข 7+ years of experience with database administration or related technologies.
โ€ข 5+ years of experience with SQL.
โ€ข Candidates must reside within a commutable distance for daily onsite work and on-call requirements.
โ€ข This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.
