JOB TITLE: INDUSTRIAL SPRAY PAINTER
Non-Exempt Position
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor / Plant Manager
DEPARTMENT: Paint
BASIC FUNCTION:
Clean and remove surface grease and dirt from product. Spray prepared surface of product, machines, etc. with protective covering of water based enamel or epoxy paint.
GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Clean and remove surface grease and dirt from product.

  • Spray machines or customer product with protective and/or decorative material.

  • Responsible for producing acceptable work which meets or exceeds all Quality Control Standards.

  • Clean and maintain spray equipment and spray booth.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

  • Change paint booth filter, clean floor of paint spray area and paint carts.

  • Dispose of any hazardous or controlled material in a safe and compliant manner.

  • Exhibit interpersonal skills sufficient to perform as an active team member.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or required by company management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or acceptable equivalent.

  • One year of industrial spray painting experience preferred.

  • Able to safely operate overhead cranes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (75 lbs.).

  • Ability to stand for 7+ hours per day.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to read, write and understand English.

  • Demonstrate a positive and business-like attitude.

  • Required to wear all OSHA mandated safety equipment and to adhere to all company safety practices and policies.

  • Conduct all interactions with customers (internal and external), vendors, field sales representatives, co-workers, and supervisors in a focused, positive, courteous and respectful manner.

  • Regular attendance is an essential element of the job. Unplanned absences have the potential to impair the operation of the department and diminish effectiveness of the company.
